Lifeguard Position
The primary role of a Lifeguard is to ensure the safety of all resort guests, Suncadia & Tumble Creek Club members, their families and guests that are utilizing the pool or water slide facilities at the Suncadia Swim & Fitness Center. As a team member at Suncadia, you'll participate in building teamwork, effectiveness of services, and the overall character of the resort experience.
Salary : $18.00 / hour

Responsibilities
Maintain order and enforce pool rules in water slides, swimming and sauna areasBe alert and focused at all times when on duty at the pools or water slidesRescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aidClean the pool and sauna regularly of loose debris and vacuum on daily basisPerform daily opening, closing or mid-shift checklists to ensure all aspects of the pool operations are being administeredAssist with general pool, facility and locker room cleanlinessMay inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance and repair neededAdminister public health and safety policies according to facility standard operating procedures and emergency action plansEnsure member and associate safety in all areas of the club through awareness and on-going safety trainingPersonally greet each club member as they enter facilities with a smile and their first or last name, depending on their preferencePromote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departmentsAttends weekly, monthly or quarterly team meetingsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidaysCurrent American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard Certification OR ability to obtain via company provided trainingCurrent Certification in CPR & First Aid OR ability to obtain via company provided trainingPrevious Lifeguarding experience a plusStrong organizational skills and oral and written communication skillsEnergetic self-starter with strong work ethicProven ability to meet and work with the publicAbility to engage in social conversation with members and guests to promote positive relationsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with a smile
