What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques when needed within a healthcare setting. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter incidents and provide a visible security-related presence. Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports according to site and Allied Universal requirements. Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and verify identification as required by site policies. Work collaboratively with facility staff, visitors, and / or patients to maintain a welcoming environment while supporting security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements : Vaccines are required for hospital posts. Ability to restrain individuals is required for hospital posts. CPR certification is preferred. Experience with X-ray screening is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
