General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate skilled administrative support work, assisting with a variety of office support activities, answering telephones, preparing and maintaining detailed and / or confidential records and files, processing incoming paper and electronic mail and outgoing mail and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Claims Operations Manager.
Position Responsibilities
- Provides and exhibits outstanding customer service, teamwork, and organizational commitment.
- Answers and routes incoming calls to appropriate parties; provides information to County officials and staff as appropriate.
Makes calls to members communicating upcoming and / or past due IRMA deductible payments.
Receives, maintains, and administers mail for the Claims Department, including date stamping, logging, printing, copying, scanning, forwarding and distributing via various channels i.e., postal mail, email, and uploading to information systems such as DocuClass :Receives compact discs and uploads data to ACCG X-drive.
Reviews cash receipts report against Deductible Log to confirm matching charges, communicates differences and discrepancies to Claims Technical Assistant and / or supervisor for reconciliation.Operates a variety of standard office equipment.Supports the overall organization by executing the directives as set forth by the Association.Performs related tasks.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and administrative support techniques;Intermediate knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic;General knowledge of departmental and organization programs and policies;Skill in the use of standard office software applications, specifically Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel;Ability to type accurately at a reasonable rate of speed;Ability to follow oral and written instructions read and understand detailed and complicated policies, procedures and materials that contain specialized words and phrases; ability to multitask and engage in critical thinkingAbility to operate a variety of standard office equipment including personal computer and associated software;Ability to communicate effectively, establish, and maintain effective working relationships with associates, claimants, local government officials, customers and the general public.Education and Experience
Moderate (typically 3-5 years) experience in general clerical work, which included customer service, data administration, and document management.High school diploma or equivalentPhysical Requirements
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force;Work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and reaching with hands and arms and occasionally requires standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions;Work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels;Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to environmental conditions.Notice : ACCG employees must have a primary residence within the state of Georgia.
