Data center engineers have a wide range ofresponsibilities, which can include:

·Conductingcapacity assessments of existing infrastructure to ensure that it can supportfuture growth
·Maintainingdetailed documentation of all server and storage configurations and changesmade to them
·Performingregular backups of data to prevent loss in case of computer failure or theft
·Providingtechnical support for applications and operating systems used in the datacenter
·Writingscripts to automate common processes within the data center environment
·Monitoringenergy usage across the data center to ensure efficient operation
·Conductingenvironmental and air quality tests to ensure compliance with federalregulations
- Must have at least an associate degree or equivalent work experience, with at least 8+ year experience in Information Technologies.
