Job Title : General Revenue Accountant – Oil & Gas (Contract)

Location : Dallas, TX 75251

Schedule : Hybrid (Work from Home on Mondays & Fridays)

Pay Range : $45–$55 / hour

Duration : 3–6 months (contract only; not expected to convert to permanent)

Position Overview :

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Revenue Accountant with a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry to join their team on a contract basis. This role is supporting revenue accounting operations during a critical period.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and maintain allocation schedules for revenue reporting

Research and prepare Prior Period Adjustments (PPAs)

Assist with internal and external audits

Perform revenue accounting tasks primarily using Microsoft Excel

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition

Utilize Inertia accounting system as needed (minimal usage)

Must-Haves :

Oil & Gas industry experience is required

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.)

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment
