Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Academic Gastroenterologist based in Orlando, FL. The primary responsibilities include diagnosing and managing diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver, performing endoscopic procedures, and overseeing gastroenterology fellows. The Gastroenterologist is also expected to contribute to medical education, mentor trainees, and support the development of clinical programs within the facility. Responsibilities include engaging in research and quality improvement efforts to advance patient‑care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Gastroenterology and Hepatology for diagnosing and managing related conditions
• Proficiency in performing endoscopy and capsule endoscopy procedures
• A strong foundation in general medicine as it pertains to gastroenterological care
• Excellent communication, teaching, and mentoring skills for academic and clinical environments
• Commitment to collaborative healthcare teamwork and research initiatives
• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
• Licensure to practice medicine in the United States
• Experience working with a veteran population is a plus
