Job Description
Our client, a well-renowned research institution, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented contract-to-hire Administrative Assistant to support a busy and dynamic department. This position provides administrative and operational assistance to help ensure smooth day-to-day functioning within an engineering and research environment.
This role is fully onsite in Cambridge, MA, and requires a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive professional who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Compensation : $30-33 / hr

Key Responsibilities :
Coordinate procurement activities : identify suppliers, obtain quotes, generate requisitions, and track ordersManage travel arrangements and assist with travel authorizations and reimbursementsSupport complex timekeeping processes for the departmentProvide general administrative and office support to staff and managementMaintain department property tracking and assist with documentation and reportingCreate, edit, and post content to the internal websiteSupport management with outreach, proposals, and special projectsPerform additional administrative duties as assignedQualifications :
Minimum of 2 years post-secondary education required; Bachelor’s degree preferredStrong organizational and multitasking skillsProficiency with MS Word, Excel, and general web-based toolsAbility to learn and use purchasing, timekeeping, and travel systemsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionExperience in an engineering, scientific, or research environment is helpful but not requiredOur Commitment to Inclusion & Belonging
