We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Lumberton, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in payroll processing and a strong grasp of multi-state payroll systems. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while managing payroll functions for a large workforce.
Responsibilities :
- Process full-cycle payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Handle multi-state payroll operations, addressing state-specific tax and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to manage payroll systems and streamline workflows efficiently.
- Verify employee timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks and direct deposits in a timely manner.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and provide support to employees regarding compensation matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in processing payroll, with hands-on expertise in ADP Workforce Now.
- Proven ability to manage payroll for over 500 employees.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and practices.
- Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
