Automotive Wire Harness Design Engineer (CATIA - 3 months)

Lumenance is seeking qualified engineers with experience designing wire harnesses and packaging electromechanical items in transportation applications ( automotive, aerospace, specialty vehicles) using CATIA V5/V6.
This is a 3-month, fully remote contract position.

Job duties:

• Independently develop professional, manufacturable, cost effective wire harness designs
  
• Interface with vehicle or equipment electrical system designers to ensure basic electrical requirements are understood and implemented
  
• Develop wire harness routing designs in 3D using CATIA V5/V6. This includes ensuring all harnesses are routed safely and securely and properly connect to applicable electrical units and mating harnesses
  
• Develop clear, readable wire harness drawings (in CATIA V5/V6) conforming to customer and industry drafting standards
  
• Interface with wire harness suppliers to address Design for Manufacturability issue
  
• Design brackets and other mounting fixtures to secure wire harnesses and related electromechanical devices in the vehicle
