Lead Developer Position
Under administrative direction, serves as a Lead Developer for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDoR) providing a full range of complex professional and advisory functions in information technology (IT) web applications services. Serves as project / team leader on highly complex projects while independently planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data. Analyzes and recommends new procedures and techniques to improve supported websites and web applications. Serves as the primary support for scheduled and remedial maintenance to assigned websites and web applications. Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications :
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four (4) years college with course work in computer science or directly related fields. Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Web Services or a related Information Technology field.
Specialized Skills :
Requires three (3) years professional experience as a SharePoint site administrator, managing websites using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), or other web content management system, including end-to-end site configuration, maintenance, and publishing. Requires three (3) years professional experience designing and developing web applications using HTML, CSS, FormCalc, JavaScript, and JSON. Requires three (3) years professional experience creating business process automation functions using tool such as LiveCycle / AEM Forms Designer and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
