Estimator Position In Jacksonville

We are seeking an Estimator in Jacksonville for a Security Firm. As an Estimator with a leading provider of security solutions, you will play a vital role in the planning and proposal process by evaluating project requirements, preparing detailed cost analyses, and developing comprehensive estimates for security systems and services. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and experience in the security or construction industry. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure our proposals are competitive, accurate, and tailored to client needs.

Pay : $20-30 / hour depending on experience

Schedule : Monday to Friday dayshift

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Assessment : Review and analyze takeoffs, project plans, layout, specifications, and client requirements to determine scope, feasibility, and estimated costs.
• Cost Estimation : Develop detailed cost estimates for security systems, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.
• Proposal Development : Prepare and deliver comprehensive proposals, including technical descriptions, schedules, and financials, to support sales efforts.
• Vendor & Supplier Coordination : Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations for materials and equipment, and negotiate favorable terms.
• Risk Analysis : Identify project risks and challenges, recommending mitigation strategies to ensure accurate project execution and cost control.
• Technical Consultation : Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to develop technical solutions that meet both budgetary constraints and client needs.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all estimates, assumptions, and final proposal documentation for future reference and project management.
• Continuous Improvement : Contribute to the improvement of the estimating process by analyzing completed projects to refine and enhance estimating practices.
