Responsibilities :
- Pharmacist reviews prescriptions (including compounded prescriptions) and dispenses prescribed drugs according to regulatory requirements and guidelines
- Pharmacist shall follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures
- Pharmacist responds to patients and providers questions about medications and advises about drug safety and potential interactions
- Pharmacist manages the transfer of prescriptions, incoming physician calls and drug utilization review
- Pharmacist ensures patient records are correctly input and maintained
- Pharmacist supervises technicians according to state requirements

This job operates in a Pharmacy. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Compounding knowledge for non-sterile products is also necessary.
