Summary

The Endoscopy Technician assists the Gastroenterologist in performing routine and complex invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Precleans, disinfects, and prepares equipment used for procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associate preferred
• One (1) or more years experience as an Endoscopy Technician.
• Experience with advance procedures such as Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography (ERCP).
• Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software.
• Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.
• Completes semi-annual training from Olympus or other training organization preferred.
