Mercer Zimmerman, a leading commercial lighting manufacturer's rep, is looking for an experienced accountant to join our expanding corporate accounting / HR team in Overland Park, Kansas. This is an on-site, full-time position with an option for a 30-hour / week part-time schedule. This role will focus primarily on supporting the needs of our affiliate company, Built Solutions. If you have five or more years of accounting experience, a passion for accuracy, a positive attitude and a desire to work in a highly collaborative environment we encourage you to apply.

The job would entail :

• Prepare purchase orders and process vendor payments
• Generate customer pay apps and / or invoices and manage accounts receivable collections
• Manage company expense reporting process; review expense reports for accuracy and correct documentation
• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prioritize and manage multiple accounting tasks and project deadlines
• Collaborate with Mercer Zimmerman corporate accounting and Built Solutions teams to maintain and continually improve processes and procedures for assigned job duties
