Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical or Controls Engineer. Experience in power generation is desired but not required. The Engineer ensures the long?term reliability of assigned plant systems, learns systems to component level, diagnoses reliability issues, and develops, presents and implements improvement and maintenance plans. Engineers also perform causal analysis of equipment or system failures and may manage special projects or refueling outage assignments.

Job Requirements

Education : B.S. or higher degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or a Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience in digital and / or analog controls (integrated plant computer systems, circuit boards, transmitters, analog controllers, digital controllers, etc.) is preferred.
• 2+ years engineering experience preferred (nuclear or energy related experience helpful).
• Background in Electrical or Controls Engineering with working knowledge of applicable discipline codes and standards.
• Ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions based on experience and appropriate industry practices to make timely decisions that impact plant safety and reliability.
• Clear, effective communication of issues and proposed solutions.
• On?call and available to assist with related troubleshooting and restoration activities (about 5 weeks per year).
• Infrequent overnight travel may be required.
