Position Summary : This part-time position will expose a UNM HR student to all facets of the HR functions for a small to medium sized non-profit (50+ employees), including recruitment, selection, onboarding, benefits administration. Our need is ongoing, hours are flexible, time in the office is expected on a regular, weekly basis, some hours may be worked remotely as well. HR Intern will :
Minimum Qualifications :
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Preferred Qualifications :
Completed junior year of an accredited HR degree program. Preference will be given to seniors or MBA students. Excellent organizational skills. Strong effective communicator in writing, business presentations and interpersonal communication. Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills. Demonstrated high degree of confidentiality and unusual common sense. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products, file management, and benefits administration, preferred. The ability to speak, read and write in Spanish is preferred. The ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications, especially HR Bamboo, is desired.
