Job Summary

Provide analytics and strategic data support for operational and business teams. This role proactively provides insights, is aligned with business leaders of supported teams and stakeholders to help guide the future of organizational and operational data use to solve business problems and provide value for decision making.

Responsible to use data to provide proactive business insight and recommendations to stakeholders, with a holistic view of members and a deep understanding of the business.

To be effective, the following duties must be completed successfully :

  • Integrates with leadership of supported Business Teams to understand short-term and long-term data needs and develop data strategy.
  • Collaborates with Business Team and other data team resources to document business needs and priorities.
  • Delivers meaningful data reporting, projects, and insights.
  • Proactively provides new / additional information and insight to the organization.
  • Develops a full understanding of operational processes for business teams supported.
  • Collaborates on and leads organizational and operations data analysis projects and initiatives.
  • Proactively adds value through advanced data analytics and modeling.
  • Works with behavioral, speech and text analytics data to provide enhanced analysis for stakeholders and leaders.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports on external market data to provide benchmarks for comparison purposes.
  • Manages survey creation, survey data analysis and works to optimize surveys for industry best practices and to increase response rates.

Builds robust survey reporting for business stakeholders.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience as a software / systems leadership / consulting, driving technology strategy, roadmap and solutioning across the technology stack
  • 2 years' experience developing and implementing technology solutions
  • Banking / Finance experience preferred

Education

Bachelor's degree is data science, data analytics, computer science, business, or related field OR 3 additional combined years of experience in a progressive strategic data analytics position.

Computer / Office Equipment Skills

  • Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge and experience using T-SQL and MS-SQL or other data extraction coding languages.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse architecture, data modeling, data cubes, etc. and experience using standard query techniques to access SQL Server or other relational databases.
  • Data reporting and analytics competencies (content knowledge).
  • Experience with detailed data reporting over complex data systems, including many-to-many databases and cross-server data solutions.
  • Experience with management of BI systems for a large organization.
  • Advanced level skill for Excel.
  • Intermediate knowledge in analytical software such as Tableau, Power BI, Oracle, Google Analytics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of analytical software and languages, such as Python, R, SPSS, SAS, etc., or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn required analytics / modeling tools.

Has no direct reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology, results and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations
  • Demonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with narrative storytelling and creative visualization of quantitative data using visual design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience with management consulting, including the practical application of strategic frameworks, methodologies, and approaches to address organizational challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), work well in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with organizational improvement efforts, including analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, summarizing findings, developing conclusions, and making strategic recommendations
  • Experience identifying and connecting client needs to analytics solutions
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of data management practices, including data governance and data quality
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with strong organizing and time management skills and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and timelines
  • Adaptive to change, responds positively to altered circumstances or conditions
  • Possess a desire and willingness to learn and continually update knowledge base on financial concepts, strategies, systems etc.
