Our Perinatal Department combines a Labor & Delivery / Inpatient Antepartum Suite with a Mother-Baby Couplet Postpartum Unit. Key Responsibilities

As a Lactation Consultant, you will :

• Provide comprehensive lactation assessment, management, education, and support to inpatient lactating women and community-based outpatients.
• Conduct consultations, rental or sale of lactation equipment, telephone triage, and prenatal education as necessary.
• Create a nurturing environment that encourages confidence and adult learning while protecting confidentiality and optimizing lactation management for mothers and infants.
• Implement evidence-based practices in lactation management, counseling, and patient education in accordance with ILCA Standards & Scope of Practice and IBLCE Code of Ethics.
