Location : Warren, OH 44484 (Ohio healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Unit : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Unit 6)

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 16, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour nights

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680–$1800

Qualifications – Registered Nurse Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, SDU, or IMCU nursing experience

Previous travel nursing experience required

Clinical experience with ventilators at the IMC level

BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide available)

Proficient in managing cardiac drips (Cardizem titration, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Lasix, Bumex)

Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow, HHFNC, and ventilator support

Ability to care for mixed IMC acuity patients (cardiac, neuro, general, respiratory)

At least 1 year of RN experience required

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes

Safely administer medications and follow hospital policies and procedures

Coordinate patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and families

Manage patients with multi-system organ failure, trauma, and acute medical conditions

Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, and manage advanced respiratory modalities

Serve as a patient safety advocate and participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives

Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process

Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and medical emergencies

Accurately document patient care using electronic health records (EHR)
