Fire Protection Supervisor
You will oversee and direct all fire protection operations. You will be responsible for supervising and training all personnel assigned to you within the Fire Division. You will conduct lectures and drills, draft reports, and plan inspection programs. You will attend training courses, conferences, and seminars to stay current on all fire protection techniques. You will perform data input and analysis of Navy fire department information systems (ESAMS, NFIRS, and NERMS).

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain current certification in NREMT / CPR.
Qualifications : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : 1) Providing immediate oversight and direction of day-to-day operations at a fire station for an assigned shift. 2) Performing supervisory duties and responsibilities up to 25% or more of the duty time. 3) Provide hazardous material incident and emergency response. 4) Provide basic life support procedures as needed for each emergency call. This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications : Firefighter I & II, HAZMAT Technician, HAZMAT IC, Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, NREMT? If you do not possess all of the above certifications, you will be rated ineligible. You must submit documentation with your application such as Firefighter transcripts or certifications.
