As a Lead Software Engineer at Capital One, you will spearhead a significant transformation journey!

Your Responsibilities :

Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects, guiding a talented team of developers specializing in distributed microservices and full stack systems to create innovative solutions that address regulatory requirements.

Stay ahead of technology trends by experimenting and learning new technologies, while also engaging with both internal and external tech communities and mentoring fellow engineers.

Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences and empower millions of Americans financially.

Utilize a variety of programming languages and tools including JavaScript, Java, HTML / CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, open-source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes along with various AWS services.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience is not included).

At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's Degree.

7+ years of experience in one or more of the following : JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.

3+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or any other cloud service.

4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.

1+ years of experience in a leadership role managing team members.

2+ years of experience working with Agile practices.

The salary range for this role is as follows : $175,800 - $200,700. This salary information is specific to candidates hired to work in locations including Plano, TX, and Richmond, VA. Salaries for other locations will vary accordingly.

This role is eligible for performance-based incentives, including potential cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
