Description : LOGISTICS LEAD

PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to ensure products are distributed locally according to quality, performance, cost, and availability. Practices are aligned to the business objectives with an emphasis on customer service. Responsible for the logistics associated with the distribution of IMDEX products.

PLANNING

• Work with team to define the processes / procedures / controls relevant to team activities. Plans work according to time constraints.
• Where there is an expected hinderance to executing a defined work plan (eg. due to availability of tools, lack of staff resources), develops contingency plan and communicates to team.
• Compiles and reviews logistics data supplied by team. Sense checks data to ensure it accurately reflects production / operative processes.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to provide information on product availability, suitability and movement as required.
• Clear work schedules defined and communicated to team.
• Logistics data is accurate and can be utilised as a source for decision making for future supply chain planning.
