We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer with extensive automation experience, particularly with Playwright. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our automated testing frameworks and suites for our web applications. You will work closely with development, product, and other QA team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust, and reliable software.
This is a contract role (3 months with possibility for extension) open to candidates residing in the following states or Corp to Corp : California, Wisconsin, New York, Massachusetts or North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
- Automation Strategy & Development :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and efficient automated test suites using Playwright (TypeScript)
- Debugging Playwright tests using trace files and logs
- Contribute significantly to the architecture and evolution of our automation frameworks
- Integrate automated tests into the CI / CD pipeline to support continuous testing
- Defect Management :
- Identify and communicate bugs found during regression or scheduled test executions
- Work closely with the supervisor to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues
- Quality Advocacy :
- Act as a strong advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Continuously seek to improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies
- Collaboration :
- Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
- Communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to the supervisor

Required Qualifications
Experience : 5+ years of direct experience in Quality Assurance focused on test automation development or 3+ years of development experiencePlaywright Expertise : Strong experience in designing, developing, debugging and maintaining test automation frameworks and scripts specifically with PlaywrightProgramming Skills : Proficient in TypeScript / JavaScript programming languageWeb Technologies : Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, React)Framework : Solid understanding of Oops concepts and Design patternsVersion Control : Familiar with version control systems such as GitDatabase : Hands-on database SQL queries experienceTesting Methodologies : Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environmentsTest Management Tools : Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure, QaseCI / CD : Experience integrating automated tests into CI / CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailCommunication : Strong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications

Salary
Hourly range for this position is $45 to $55 per hourAbility to work 40 hours per weekIndividual hourly pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or trainingSeniority level
