This may require following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications. Key Accountabilities :
Competencies : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Qualifications : High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Special Position Requirements : Must be able to read blueprints and calipers Welding certification a plus Work Requirements : Employees are not required to lift any certain amount of weight. Employees have access to lifting devices for any weight that is not comfortable to lift. (Hoist, forklift, additional help on request) While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud from milling, drilling and metal turning.
