Staff Accountant

Location : Pittsburgh, PA

Compensation : $60,000 - $75,000

About the Opportunity :

Our client-a respected, steadily growing company in the Pittsburgh area-is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals (1-4 years of experience) who are eager to strengthen their accounting skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that prioritizes growth and development.

What You'll Do :

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with accuracy and timeliness

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings

Prepare journal entries and generate standard financial reports

Support internal and external audits with proper documentation

Participate in budgeting, forecasting , and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company-specific accounting policies

Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed

What You Bring :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

1-4 years of relevant accounting experience (public or private sector)

Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas); ERP experience preferred (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP)

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
