Position Description
Administrative Assistant I
Researches, reviews, analyzes, collects, codes and enters state traffic crashes utilizing the Crash Records Information System (CRIS) in the Traffic Safety Division. Handles location related efforts including location accuracy. Generates reports to audit, updates crash records with supplemental information, verifies accuracy of crash data, and makes corrections. Work requires contact with national, state and local governmental agencies, law enforcement agencies and private entities. Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product.
Administrative Assistant II
Performs administrative office support-related work for department staff, the general public, and one or more projects and specialized programs. Work requires contact with middle and high-level managers and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
