Industry : Commercial Mechanical Contracting / Construction / HVAC / Plumbing Experience Level : Journeyman or Equivalent / Management-Level Location : South Eastern Minnesota Role Overview : We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plumbing & HVAC Piping Project Manager / Estimator to join our client's team. This full-time position involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of mechanical piping and plumbing projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, profitably, and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical systems, field experience, and a proactive approach to project management and estimation. Key Responsibilities : Lead and manage plumbing and HVAC piping projects from initial bid to completion. Conduct thorough estimating, job costing, and budgeting for mechanical systems. Define project scopes, set up new projects, and assist in planning and logistics. Schedule projects and manpower to maximize resource allocation and productivity. Oversee procurement of materials and equipment. Maintain ongoing communication with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Ensure quality control, compliance with safety standards, and timely project delivery. Promote a collaborative and positive team environment focused on continuous improvement. Requirements : Journeyman-level tradesperson preferred or equivalent experience in mechanical contracting, engineering, or construction management. Experience in estimating and managing plumbing / HVAC piping projects preferred; training provided for the right candidate. Possession of or ability to obtain a State of MN or State of WI Master Plumbing license. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and construction / project management software. Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively with a solutions-oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications : Experience with commercial, healthcare, and / or industrial mechanical systems. Familiarity with estimating software is beneficial. Knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes in MN, IA, and WI (UPC, IPC, ASHRAE, NFPA). Leadership experience and practical knowledge of piping and plumbing are advantageous.
