To excel in this role, you must be caring, communicative, and adept at explaining dental treatments and procedures in a way that patients can easily understand. Requirements

Qualifications & Licensure Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.

Licensure & Certification

• Active and unrestricted Colorado State Dental License issued by the Colorado Dental Board.

• Current DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration for prescribing controlled substances.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred).

Clinical Experience

• Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical skills may be considered.

• Proficiency in general dentistry procedures, including exams, restorative dentistry, extractions, prosthodontics, and periodontal care.

• Experience with digital radiography, intraoral cameras, and modern dental technology.

State Compliance & Continuing Education

• Compliance with Colorado state requirements for continuing education (30 CE hours every two years, including opioid training if prescribing).

• Understanding of and adherence to Colorado Dental Practice Act and other regulatory guidelines.

• Quarterly True-Up Payments: Ensures your earnings align with production levels.
