ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Position Title : Accounts Payable Specialist

Reports to : Accounting Manager

Summary of Purpose :

Tailwind Hospitality Inc. provides delicious food, signature beverages, and interesting gift shop concessions at busy airports. We are seeking an initiative-taking and driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join our fast-growing national company. The Accounts Payable Specialist must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments with minimal direction.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Analyze and process accounts payable in a timely manner.
• Enter invoices for multiple corporate locations throughout the US with varying rules.
• Perform weekly check runs on time and while protecting the business against unintentional overpayment.
• Manage all vendor correspondence via phone or email.
• Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables.
• Provide other clerical support necessary to process the obligations of the organization.

Requirements :

High School education.

2 years' general accounting experience preferred.

Proficient with computer typing and ten-key.

An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills.

Background check.

Physical Requirements :

Work at a desk and use a computer 6-8 hours per day.

Perform with frequent interruptions and / or distractions.

Perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.
