Position Overview
The Quality Projects, Process and System Optimization Supervisor (Quality Engineer) is responsible for leading and supporting quality projects to uphold and improve quality standards, collaborating across shifts, leading root cause analyses, and developing and implementing quality training programs to drive Quality culture excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for quality projects and trials, including activities such as preparation, sample collection, SOP development, sample testing, data acquisition, and reporting.
- Lead rework operations to ensure efficient and timely resolution of product on hold.
- Oversee daily root cause analysis investigations to address quality issues as they arise to prevent the re-occurrence of deviations.
- Develop and support and promote Quality culture initiatives.
- Facilitate effective communication between shifts to promote consistency, quality culture, collaboration, and the sharing of best practices.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a standardized quality training program to ensure ongoing competency across personnel.
- Support the delivery of annual quality training sessions across all shifts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on an annual basis to ensure compliance and relevance.
- Facilitate weekly new hire quality training sessions, creating engaging and effective instructional materials to ensure comprehensive onboarding.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes, supporting continuous process and quality improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field; Quality Engineer certificate required within 1 year of hire.2+ years of experience in food quality assurance or similar position.Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF, BRC, etc.).Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Hours, Location and Pay
We offer a competitive-based pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This role is from 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm on a Monday- Friday schedule at our Little Chute, WI manufacturing facility. These hours may flex during trials and based off job duties assigned.
