Here at Goodwill, we support persons with Intellectual & developmental disabilities and neurodiversity (Autism Spectrum), with obtaining and maintaining a job in the community. The DSP-Job Coach is the person who directly works with and supports our individuals and their families in finding a job and career. We are offer Full Time employment with many benefits starting at $20 / hour (equivalent to $40,000 / Year)

• I am comfortable travelling throughout NYC, and being out in the community, visiting multiple work sites throughout the day
• I enjoy, teaching and encouraging others how to complete a task
• I am patience when explaining and showing an individual how to complete a task
• I do not mind rolling up my sleeves and showing someone the proper way to clean or stock merchandize on the shelves or communicate with others.
• I am able to write clear and concise progress note directly after providing a service which captures what transpired
• I like to communicate with other members of the team in order to keep everyone informed, that would let to the continued success of the program.

Manage a caseload by providing individual assistance and guidance to individuals with disabilities with the mission of assisting them with obtaining, training and maintaining employment. The most prevalent disability group is Intellectual / Developmental Disability; others may include mental illness, visual impairment, mental illness, or other conditions and impairments.
