Inventory Accountant
Our retail distribution client is in search of an Inventory Accountant who will be responsible for full-cycle accounting for a business unit reporting to the Director.
This role sits mostly onsite (Friday remote) and offers salary around $80-85k. Full benefits package, PTO, paid holidays and 401k program.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes month-end close duties accurately and timely (e.g. recording / approving journal entries, performing variance analysis, updating subledger details, etc..)
- Prepares / reviews reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts. Analyzes balances to ensure they are accurate.
- Ensures compliance with GAAP accounting requirements
- External audit support
- Prepare, process and record journal entries related to cash, deposits, and withdrawals
- Ownership of revenue accounting function and related reporting, including preparation,processing, and recording of related journal entries
- Proactively identifies and implements process improvements as necessary.
- Completes special project work as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of GL accounting experience
- Inventory or cost accounting background a must
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Highly analytical
- NetSuite a plus
- Advanced MS Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $80,000.00 - $85,000.00
