Position Overview :

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Medical Oncology RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This 30-bed unit provides care for adult hematology-oncology patients across all phases of care, including initial diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care. This assignment offers the opportunity to develop expertise in oncology nursing while maintaining strong general medical-surgical skills.

Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult hematology-oncology patients.

Monitor and manage patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments.

Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Participate in patient and family education regarding disease management and treatment plans.

Serve in charge or preceptor roles as needed.

Document care accurately and timely in compliance with hospital policies.

Requirements :

Active RN License (NY License ONLY)

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience , with telemetry experience required

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Certifications Required :

BLS – American Heart Association ONLY

ACLS

Chemotherapy Certification (required for travel assignment)
