Description

Our client, a leader in commercial real estate, is seeking a Building Engineer to support operations at a premier multi-use property in Philadelphia, PA . This is a full-time, on-site position operating Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm . This position starts as a 3-month contract opportunity and pays $30-33.50 per hour based on experience. This position is ideal for a hands-on, technically skilled professional with 4-5 years of experience maintaining high-rise office buildings or similar Class A commercial environments. The Building Engineer will work closely with another engineer and report directly to the Chief Engineer. This property includes a high-rise office building, as well as additional retail, hotel, and office space-making it an excellent opportunity for a jack-of-all-trades technician seeking variety and responsibility in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Support operation and troubleshooting of HVAC systems (heating and cooling)
• Conduct regular fire alarm system checks and maintenance
• Change light bulbs, replace fixtures, and perform light carpentry as needed
• Monitor and complete work orders; communicate with tenants and team members
• Assist with water source heat pumps and building automation systems where applicable
• Ensure all tasks align with building codes and company safety protocols
