The Child and Family Guidance Center is seeking a Certified Family Partner to be at the forefront of providing essential support and guidance to families navigating the mental health system.
In this role, you’ll be the beacon of hope and support for parents or caregivers of children facing emotional, mental, or behavioral health challenges.
Working closely with our clinical team, you'll utilize your specialized training and personal experience to guide families through the complexities of accessing services, advocating for their needs, and fostering positive outcomes.

What you will do
- Provide individualized support, advocacy, and guidance to families navigating the mental health system
- Facilitate support groups and empower patients to make positive choices for their mental health and recovery
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement personalized recovery plans
- Connect patients with community resources and informal supports to enhance their support network
- Document all clinical interactions accurately and maintain professional certification / licensure
- Uphold all federal and state laws, safeguarding confidentiality and ensuring HIPAA compliance
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Sociology preferred (not required)
- Peer Support Specialist certification preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and / or American Sign Language a plus
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work independently and with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Experience navigating the mental health system
- Ability to relate personal lived experience to educate and inspire others
- A valid driver’s license
