Regulated & Renewable Energy (RRE) is responsible for generating electric power 24 / 7 in a safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible manner. To achieve this, the fleet requires specialized technical expertise for the specification, design, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, components, and equipment. As the Technical Authority for the RRE Centerline Assets, the Turbine Generator Services (TGS) organization is responsible for maintaining the necessary knowledge and qualifications to perform these tasks. Additionally, the TGS organization sets and implements consistent standards across the fleet facilities.
Generation Program Manager I
This position supports programmatic strategies for the RRE department that include components that are very complex and overlap in the areas of financial analysis, technical evaluation and operational impacts. The Program Manager is expected to identify opportunities for fleet improvement, assemble appropriate cross-functional teams to develop solutions, and implement the solution once approved by Senior Leadership. The Program Manager will be responsible for the governance, oversight, technical leadership, regulatory guidance, strategic planning, coordination, and implementation within the fleet. The incumbent must possess the technical acumen to conduct analysis and assess design program details, proficiency in financial or economic analysis to optimize results and recommend adjustment to program initiatives, all in an effort to achieve defined improvement results. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead the preparation of complex reports and presentations. The position requires a high level of coordination skills as well as the ability to manage complex technical projects involving other departments, outside consultants and industry groups.
Generation Program Manager II
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic programs for the electric generators within the RRE fleet (excluding hydro & nuclear). These strategies are designed to meet corporate objectives, financial goals, regulatory requirements, technology limitations, and supplier relations. They typically involve complex elements that intersect areas such as financial analysis, technical evaluation, and operational impacts. The Program Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities for fleet improvement, assembling cross-functional teams where necessary to devise solutions, and executing the approved solutions. Responsibilities include governance, oversight, technical leadership, regulatory guidance, strategic planning, coordination, and implementation across the fleet. The Program Manager must ensure the development, training, and implementation of consistent plans, processes, and standards to maintain adherence to the fleet program at all RRE sites.
The candidate must possess leadership abilities, organizational knowledge, and experience in implementing relevant programs and strategic vision to address fleet issues. Essential qualifications include technical acumen to analyze and assess program details, and proficiency in financial or economic analysis to optimize results and recommend adjustments to program initiatives to achieve targeted improvement outcomes rooted in data analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to prepare complex reports and presentations. The Program Manager will regularly engage with all levels of management, including General Managers, Vice Presidents, and Senior Vice Presidents.
A high level of coordination skills is essential, as well as the capability to manage complex technical projects involving multiple departments, external consultants, and industry groups. The Program Manager is expected to interface frequently with industry groups and peers to benchmark best practices and take a leadership role in the industry's rapidly evolving environment.
