Contract Accounting Manager (Part-Time)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Accounting Manager to support our nonprofit organization during a critical financial reporting period. This part-time role will span approximately 812 weeks and is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in fund accounting, grant management, and state reimbursement processes. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, prepare monthly board financial packages, manage grant accounting.

Location : Pittsburgh, PA (onsite only)

Schedule : Part-Time (Flexible hours-must be defined hours with Robert Half) Contract - business hours - onsite ONLY - can be part time (you pick the hours)

Requirements :

• Monthly Financial Reporting
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements and board packages
• Analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide insights to leadership
• Grant Accounting
• Track and report on restricted and unrestricted grants
• Manage accounting for 2 monthly grants and 1 quarterly grant
• Ensure compliance with grantor requirements and reporting deadlines
• State Reimbursements
• Prepare and submit monthly reimbursement requests
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for all submissions
• General Accounting
• Record journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Manage salary splits and ensure correct grant allocations
• Reconcile bank accounts and manage accounts payable / receivable
• Assist with annual audit preparation and coordination
