We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Operations Employee Services Specialist to join our team in Moore, South Carolina. This position focuses on ensuring accurate payroll processing and resolving employee inquiries effectively. As part of a long-term contract, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver reliable payroll services while adhering to compliance standards and organizational policies. The role offers a hybrid work schedule, including both in-office and remote days, with initial training conducted fully on-site.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with payroll associates and business partners to ensure seamless payroll operations and achieve organizational goals.
- Accurately input job, salary, and personnel data into payroll systems, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with the Managed Services Provider to meet payroll processing deadlines and maintain accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between HRIS systems and payroll databases, ensuring data integrity.
- Analyze audit reports before and after payroll processing to identify and correct errors.
- Support garnishment processes in partnership with managed services and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on payroll system functionality and address employee inquiries regarding time, earnings, deductions, and tax.
- Assist HR, Benefits, Compensation, and Finance teams with payroll-related requests and issues.
- Manage and resolve tickets in ServiceNow and other designated systems, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Prepare and process off-cycle payrolls in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multi-state payroll processing for large organizations (5,000+ employees).
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as SAP GlobalView, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Certification such as Certified Payroll Specialist (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing cycles and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll operations.
- Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and ensuring data security in all payroll processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees, stakeholders, and business partners.
