DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Forensic Social Worker 1, you will provide direct supervision to social work staff on assigned units in the forensic sections of Norristown State Hospital. Your work will ensure that services are provided efficiently, within established time frames, and in accordance with all regulatory and professional standards. You will be responsible for completing Biopsychosocial Assessments as well as participating in developing, coordinating, and facilitating treatment plans in conjunction with other clinical treatment team members. Work also involves reviewing reports, as well as assisting with admissions and coordinating discharges on assigned units. Collaboration as part of our multi-disciplinary teams will be key for success in this role. You will also have the opportunity to function as a direct liaison to the families, county representatives, and legal partners.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may change based on operational needs.
• Overtime and travel may be required.
• Free parking!
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
