Summary / Objective
The SMT TECH performs surface mount machines processes. Read and follow work instructions procedures and schematics.
Essential Functions

- Perform the set-up process and programming of the Screen Printer MPM, Samsung Pick-n-place machine and correct profile on the BTU Reflow Oven.
- Monitor product through entire SMT process.
- Load proper parts / feeders into machine and solder paste.
- Inspect and test finished SMT products for quality.
- Hand solder / De solder components small parts such as resistors, connectors, IC, and other electronic components.
- Monitor the output of machines to ensure quality and maintenance and calibration are periodically necessary.
- Troubleshoot and make simple repairs when machines are not functioning properly.
- Perform daily and weekly maintenance on the SMT equipment and keep work area clean.
- SMT inspection of solder joints quality, part alignments, missing parts and monitor results.
- Proficiently read blue prints schematics and set up sheet as required.
- Record and report product issues verify procedures for corrective actions and update Engineers and Department Manager.
- Attend IPC / J Standard Training Class.
- Follow IPC / J Standard for soldering criteria.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m. Occasional overtime as deemed by management and production needs. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.One year of related experience.Basic computer skills required.Preferred Education and Experience
Some Manufacturing experience preferred.On the job training for the right candidate.Work Authorization / Security Clearance (if applicable)
