Job Description :

This position is responsible for assisting in process setup, prove out and maintaining programs for various CNC equipment, including but not limited to CNC mills, 7-axis grinders, 3, 4, and 5-axis grinders, lathes, and wire EDM machines.

Job Function :

Assisting the CNC Programming Manager in establishing, maintaining, and improving the CNC programs and manufacturing processes through the development, writing, and implementation of programming-related procedures and work instructions, assuring their effectiveness.  Utilize various continuous improvement initiatives and support inspection / product assessment activities.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Prove out, modify, and maintain machine processes for multiple types of CNC machines.
• Assist with programming needs for multiple departments and all satellite facilities.
• Assist operators with machine setup, process prove out, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain program availability using DNC and network resources.
• Assist in projects both inside and outside of the CNC programming department.
• Work closely and coordinate with Engineering, Quality Engineering and Production Supervisors.
• Support and troubleshoot machining processes in Cincinnati and Kentucky facilities.
• Conduct at-machine and classroom Operator training and skills development as needed for grinding and milling machines.
• Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, move throughout the facility, use hands, reach with hands, and arms, and communicate.  Work in office environment and use of computer (typical 2-button, scroll mouse and keyboard - 75% of the work day).

The employee must occasionally lift / or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include

close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  The noise level in the work environment may be loud.  Must be able

to use required PPE.

Must be able to work in a supportive team environment that is fast paced with a strong commitment to accountability.
