Job descriptionPlans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains quality procedures. Keeps accurate records. 3 years of experience as a skilled machinist. Excellent verbal communication skills Independent and yet a Team player Program mills by uploading programs, zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Familiarity with MasterCAM or other CAM software a plus. Familiarity with one or more of the following Mazak, Doosan, HAAS and Fanuc CNC controls.
Job Description
Planet Products is currently looking to hire skilled, experienced MACHINISTS for our Mazak, Haas & Fanuc CNC equipment in the Turning, VTL, horizontal & vertical milling and lathe departments. A qualified candidate will have at least 3 years of machinist experience and be able to work in a high mix, low volume job-shop environment.
