We are seeking a Machinist 1st Shift to join our team!
Job Summary :
As a machinist, your role will be essential in translating engineering designs and specifications into accurate and high-quality machined parts. This role requires a strong understanding of machine principles and the ability to work collaboratively with your surrounding team.
Job Responsibilities :
- Analyze work order routings, drawings, and / or sketches to determine a configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates to achieve an efficient machining process with respect to dimensional accuracy.
- Use the CNC control to write or edit a program to regulate movement of the machine along cutting path which outlines a sequence of operations required to machine parts.
- Observe the machine on trial run or conduct simulations to ensure that the programs and machinery will operate properly to produce items that meet specifications.
- Uses calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to accurately inspect completed parts.
- Revise programs to eliminate errors or omissions.
- Determine work procedures to expedite workflow.
- Identify and resolve programming, tooling, or machining issues that arise during production.
- Adhere to safety standards while working with CNC machines and equipment.
Qualifications :
Prior experience as a CNC machine operator in a manufacturing environment preferred.Knowledge of programming languages used in CNC machining (G-code, M-code, etc.).Experience in Conversational programming.Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and material properties.Problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot machining issues while at the machine.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Attention to detail and precision to ensure accurate production of parts.Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Experience in reading blueprints or drawings with an understanding of GD&TBasic math skills working with fractions and decimals.Details of position :
Full-time first shift 40 hours per week
8am – 4pm with reasonable flexibility on schedules.
