Description

Structural Engineer (Bridge) PE

Role Description : Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Structural Engineer (Bridge) PE at our Dallas office . This position may also be located in Dallas or Austin, TX. This full-time structural position is within our transportation group and also provides the opportunity to support other disciplines on an as needed basis. HZ's portfolio includes prestressed, post-tensioned and conventionally reinforced concrete structures as well as steel structures.

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)

Duties :

• Technical and managerial responsibilities are dependent on experience level
• Apply prescribed methods and procedures in accordance with established criteria
• Prepare calculations in accordance with applicable design codes by following standard engineering practices and procedures within established guidelines
• Prepare detailed designs, plans and specifications for bridges and other transportation structures
• Manage all project aspects including scope of work development, fee development, and subconsultant management
• Assist business development and project pursuits
• Interact and collaborate with clients, owners and other highway disciplines
• Mentor and develop junior engineers
• Implement Huitt-Zollars' Quality Management Plans for project deliverables
