Production Trainee
Innophos is seeking a Production Trainee to work in our Nashville location. The Production Trainee has the overall responsibility to maintain safety, quality and environmental effectiveness of the departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall efficient operation of the position. This includes safety, quantity, quality, housekeeping, record keeping, environmental, etc.
- Observes and operates all equipment and instrumentation, troubleshoots, adjusts equipment, cleans equipment, and record data on appropriate logs and spreadsheets, as well as in E1 system
- Select, prepares, fills, samples, weighs, and moves a variety of packages and containers as required for the proper packaging of the product
- Moves pallets, containers, and equipment, throughout a restricted space, using a forklift

Rotating Shift 1st shift (6 : 30 am-2 : 30 pm), 2nd shift (2 : 30 pm-10 : 30 pm), 3rd shift (10 : 30 pm-6 : 30 am) Monday - SundayInitially assigned to 1st shift for trainingRequired to rotate between all 3 shifts shift premium applied on 2nd and 3rd shiftsAlternative work schedules may be required based on site business needsEligible for overtime pay on hours worked that exceed 8 / day, 8 consecutive and 40 / weekBi-weekly paid on FridaysBenefits

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Valid Driver's License requiredHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMust be available to work changing / rotating shifts and schedulesMust be computer literateMust be capable of becoming a licensed lift truck operatorMust be capable of accurately completing log sheets / reports, both paper and electronic, understanding written material, performing basic mathematics, and making appropriate transactions in E1Demonstrate knowledge of process flow description (PFD), key process control points, process description, round sheets and data sheets, analytical specifications and their control, all relevant job analyses, and appropriate troubleshootingDemonstration of the above knowledge includes, written and oral testing and actual operation of equipment, to meet minimum standards of acceptabilityMust have a good attendance recordAbility to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food / drink / tobacco restrictionsEnvironmental and / or Physical Requirements
Constant standingFrequent bending, lifting (avg 50 lb-max 50 lb), and operation of moving equipment (truck, spotter, forklift)Occasional climbing (ladder, stairs), hand palletizing (50 lb / bag)Able to wear a respirator (must comply with facial hair policy) and other required personal protective equipmentWages start at $19.95 / hour and may progress to higher job classifications based on qualifications, in accordance with the labor contract.
