Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Albany, GA 31701 (Southwest Georgia healthcare jobs) Healthcare Setting : Acute Care, Medical Surgical Unit (44 beds) Assignment Length : 17 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 4 / 13 / 2026) Nursing Shift : 12 Hour Days (6 : 45 AM – 7 : 15 PM) Guaranteed Hours : 48 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Orientation : 1 week general, 2 days floor-specific Scrub Color : Caribbean Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state) BLS certification (AHA required) NIHSS certification (AHA required) Experience with Meditech EMR preferred Ability to float to all acute care and cardiac units as needed Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 5, occasionally 1 : 6 Collaborate with nurse aides and CNAs (ratios 1 : 8 to 1 : 10) Document patient care using Meditech EMR Participate in general and unit-specific orientation Float to acute care, cardiac, and EC units as required Work holidays and weekends as needed Discover the charm and hospitality of Albany, Georgia while making a difference as a Med / Surg RN.
