SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR (Permanent)

Our client, an established and well-known construction firm in WNY, is looking to hire a Senior Construction Estimator to join their growing team.  This is a great opportunity to join a very successful organization.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate / competitive estimates are developed and submitted
• Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, geotechnical data, etc. gathering necessary information to create bids
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure labor and supply costs are current
• Participate in pre-project meetings, site visits, etc. prior to bid submission in order to gather all pertinent information—noting site conditions, logistics, and equipment / material required
• Take a proactive approach to completing special projects in a timely manner and ahead of deadlines
• Collaborate with internal team members to develop successful bid strategies, discuss project planning, and conduct risk management assessments
• Maintain organized records and templates
• Remain up to date on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance is maintained at all times
• Work well in a team environment, as well as independently
• Other duties as assigned / as necessary
