ARC Group's client is seeking a highly experienced Avionics Engineering Subject-Matter Expert (SME) to join their team in Dayton, OH. This role is critical in shaping the future of airborne communication systems for the Air Force, providing a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to national security.

Essential Job Functions

• Architecture & Design Authority : Define avionics integration schemes, develop interface-control documents and ensure alignment with messaging and cross-domain guard rules.
• Airworthiness & Certification : Lead the authoring of flight-clearance packages and oversee compliance artifacts.
• Digital Thread / MBSE : Capture avionics models and drive configuration-control boards.
• Lab-to-Flight Integration : Specify and validate wiring harnesses and troubleshoot issues.
• Flight-Test & Fielding Support : Draft test cards, serve as avionics lead during flights, and coordinate anomaly resolution.
• Mentorship & Stakeholder Engagement : Advise government leads and mentor mid-level engineers.
