Cnc programmer

Do you do your best work when you are hands on? We are currently hiring a CNC Programmer to join a manufacturing company that partner with the aerospace industries.

salary : $65,000 - $72,800 per year

shift : First

work hours : 6 AM - 4 : 30 PM

education : High School

Responsibilities

• Ability to read code, drawings and work instructions and set up machinery accordingly
• Design and build fixtures to assist in trimming formed plastic parts
• Performs part inspection and verification that parts meet quality standards as required
• Works with Quality to correct non-conforming parts
• Keeps machining area neat and orderly
• Daily inspects equipment performs scheduled maintenance as needed
• Program and setup 5 axis and 3 axis CNC routers
• Analyze drawings, 3D models and other designs to determine the best process for manufacturing plastic parts
• Write setup instruction and tool list to optimize setup time
• Observe operation of machine on trial run to improve program cycle time
• Create work instructions (traveler) detailing manufacturing steps.

The essential functions of this role include :

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
