Per Diem OB Hospitalist- San Diego, CA

Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns is Southern California’s only standalone women’s hospital. SMB is part of Sharp HealthCare, is a 206 bed, not for profit hospital delivering more babies than any other hospital in California.

• Shift rate : $2,500 / shift (12 hrs)
• PAID Malpractice and Tail coverage
• Hospital shifts : 7 : 00pm to 7 : 00am
• Clinic shifts : 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm (optional)
• Full specialty back up including 24 hr perinatal and GYN / ONC service w / dedicated OB anesthesia
• Responsible for L&D, triage, postpartum, ED Calls and occasional GYN emergency surgery (ectopic)
• Most calls taken with experienced CNM’s. Back-up physicians always available
• On-site overnight provider room
• Hospital delivers ~9,000 babies per year, highest volume in the state of California!
• Group delivers ~4,000 babies per year
• Southern California’s largest Level III NICU, plus advanced care for high-risk pregnancy
